CEED stands for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (M.Des)
Conducting Body
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay
Purpose: National-level entrance exam for admission to Master of Design (M.Des) and Ph.D. program
Participating Institutes
IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IISc Bengaluru, and select IIITDM campuses
Exam Structure
Part A: Computer-based test for design aptitude, math reasoning, and general awareness (screening round).
Part B: Pen-and-paper subjective test evaluating sketching, creativity, and problem-solving.
Eligibility
A minimum 3-year degree, diploma, or postgraduate program (or final-year student) after Class 12, or a GD Arts diploma. There is no age limit or attempt restriction
CEED 2027 Schedule: Regular registrations are open through October 31, 2026 (or until November 6, 2026 with a late fee), and the exam is scheduled for January 17, 2027.
